Bats: Right/Throws: Right
6-3, 180
Games Seen: 2, Innings: 18
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: High waist, strong athletic frame with long, loose limbs. Well conditioned with plenty of room to fill out. Gifted with quickness and fast reflexes.
STRENGTHS: Balance and rhythm and power to hitting approach. Ability to drive the ball to all fields. Average arm, average arm action. Average runner out of box, better underway, should be above-average base runner in future. Closes gaps in CF, runs with long, smooth strides. Intelligent, well-prepared player geared for pro mentality. Instinctively moves feet defensively and on bases.
WEAKNESSES: Long strides affect down-the-line time. Raw talent at this stage; lacks same experience of other players his age, but athletic ability should allow him to catch up and develop. Still learning to recognize off-speed pitches, raw and inconsistent hitter at this stage, but shows aptitude for adjustment.
SUMMARY: A gifted athlete who continues to evolve. Swing showed length and fair rhythm early in season, has shown shorter path with balance and power. Has a youthful appearance with strong athletic bloodlines. Athletic enough to remain in CF with above-average power; should be starter on first division MLB team. UCLA commit.
