Scouting Report: Jared Lakind, 1B, Cypress Woods (TX) HS (2010 Draft)
By John Klima
March 3, 2010
I’ve mentioned before that Jared Lakind reminds me of Arizona Diamondbacks prospect Ryan Wheeler. Lakind is more advanced than Wheeler at the same age, but both guys project to become durable corner types with power. I think, at this stage, Lakind will have more power and Wheeler will be the higher average guy. Looking into the crystal ball, Lakind should have mid-20s home run power in years to come.
