Mike Olt has continued to establish himself as one of the better third base bats available for the 2010 draft. This video comes from the summer at the Cape Cod League, where he was playing his way back into shape following missing the second half of the 2009 college season after breaking his hand in a game. Defensively, Olt retains some of his shortstop actions at third base. His arm is easily a 5 and more likely a 6. He comes in for balls and makes the bare-handed, throw-across-the-body as well as anyone. He won’t run you a ton, but his instincts and reflexes will separate him. Offensively, he has power to all fields. Should be a very solid pro in the coming years.
