I have seen Travis Harrison from 2009 and into summer 2010 and will pick up his coverage again soon. The thing you come in to see him for is the raw right-handed power.
Harrison can put balls where few high school guys can. At the Aflac home run derby, he memorably got one way up against the brick wall in left field. That’s big boy territory for sure. Harrison himself is a big guy and he does generate an awful lot of twist and torque from his hips and waist. The questions Harrison will likely have to answer in the coming months will probably be centered around consistent contact and defense. Will he put the ball in play and where are you going to play him? That’s what Harrison will be dealing with. It is way too early to give up on him, because you don’t give up on right-handed power. If you want a comp, try Darrell Evans. We’ll be on the trail to see him in 2010.
