Dillon Maples is a little bit of a short-armer, a mid 3/4 guy who tends to lead with his elbow sometimes, but who can make the ball come out of his hand not too badly when he does a better job keeping his body closed. He pitches from no windup, followed by a semi-circle in the back topped by the 3/4 slot. I’d call his arm action and delivery fair at this time. Fastball I had at 90-93 with tail, 2-seam tail, 4-seam a little ride. CB at 79 shows flashes of tight depth. CHG at 83 showed flashes. Needs some “pro-ing” up in the coming years, but not a bad platform to build from here. Be sure to check out the photo store link on this guy. A nice shot, we think.
