Dylan Bundy is going to have to wait for a second so I can sing. Man, you should have seen the scout school instructors when I flashed personality like this. OK, here we go: “Love and marriage, love and marriage, go together like a horse and carriage…” My sincerest apologies to Dylan Bundy out there in Owasso, but long before you were throwing fastballs with Denver, I was part of the Al Bundy generation. So for the past two years, every time I heard scouts — even all the way out here in California — talking about Bundy, I got the song in my head. Once again, we see the fun in this site. Bundy’s a dude. Enjoy the report.
Dylan Bundy, RHP
Owasso (OK) HS
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Strong features through shoulders, chest, hips and thighs. Big durable build with powerful trunk.
ABILITIES: FB 92-95, easy gas with explosive life, hard tail against RHH, hard bore and giddy-up. True OTT CB 12/6 with proper rotation, depth, and sharpness, 78-82. Straight change and also occasional sink, useable third pitch should get better as he goes.
WEAKNESSES: CHG occasionally slows arm down, otherwise, not a lot to nit-pick from as amateur pitcher. Uses lower half to push off and drop and drive, good arm action and delivery, smooth coordination and explosiveness.
SUMMARY: Potential three-pitch power RHS with plus stuff across the board. Durably built young power arm with chance to become staff anchor.
OFP Range 60-70
