Jesus Valdez made his season debut Friday at Chatsworth HS, but the right-hander did not separate himself. Valdez hit 91-92 in the first inning with his four-seam fastball, no change from when we saw him at the Area Code Games or the Scouting Bureau workout.

Josh Sale has legitimate raw left-handed power, which is his best tool. As he develops as a pro, he’ll have to raise some other aspects of his game, but I’m a firm believer that you can’t give a guy power, even in this day and age.
